The Tuba is 1/3 sold!

Can I just tell you that my children have an amazing daddy? Did you hear me? I didn't say adequate, okay, average did I? No. He is amazing. All through 2006 we just "knew" we were to begin an adoption in 2007. Looking at the finances, there was no way we could even consider it. We had a feeling of assurance that God would provide a path for this calling. Aaron decided that he would sell our most valuable possession other than the cars, his tuba. Any musician can explain to you that you can develop an almost . . . relationship with your instrument. We hope to buy him a less expensive tuba in replacement when we get the adoption tax credit.

It sounds a little complex, but his tuba was traded to a woman who was upgrading. The brass shop is sending us a check for a third of the worth of our tuba. When her less expensive tuba sells, we will be paid in full. Meanwhile, this check plus the bit we have in savings will be the next $5K we have due at the agency. Phew! The Lord is providing! We serve an amazing God.

**funny update** The lady got our tuba home and found a shoe in it! I'm positive it's my missing birkenstock!!!!!!!!!!!!! I lost it when we moved in 2006! It was my Christmas gift that I didn't even get to enjoy for a full summer. I bet it fell into the tuba bell when driving from Virginia. Do you know how many people played Aaron's tuba when shopping for a new horn? PLUS we paid $100+ to chemically wash the instrument to get in tip-top shape for resale. No wonder it took 8 months to sell. HOW WEIRD!!!!!
