God provides: new-to-us furniture!

I tutored to earn an extra money to buy Jackie furniture. I've been stalking Craigslist for two weeks. Since we are not picky what style to buy, I emailed about 10 different sets of furniture from fancy, frilly, French froo-froo style to the gender-neutral stain we got. I finally had to start offering more than they were asking to get a call back! The irony of this set is that it is almost exactly the combo we got for Jonathan (one long dresser & bookshelf) plus the same style (stain & drawer knobs). We can mix and match the pieces and you won't be able to tell. His bookshelf is just one drawer on the bottom and hers has three drawers (which is fine since girls need more storage for all the frilly socks, right?) ha ha The best part is that they called us before we got a mile away from their McMansion to give us back the extra money I offered in my email! The final price was just $350 for solid wood that will last until college. Lemme tell you, the edge of the big dresser nearly took the skin off my hands while carrying it, so I can attest these stinkers are some SOLID wood. Ooph!
