The Check is In the Mail. Really.

I got a big fat cashiers check for $5,000.00 payable to our adoption agency. (God bless Aaron sacrificing his tuba). That gets us up to date since we were behind. Since we accepted Jackie's referral so close to the anticipated Dec. 31 shut down, the attorney only asked for 1/4 of his fee rather than the typical up front fee of 1/2. That way we would be out fewer quetzales if we could not bring her home. Our total spent, to date, is ....drumroll .... a lot. We are now on the downhill slide. We have the second half of the lawyer fee and travel. If you read this before we know....please pray we get the matching grant from LifeSong for Orphans. We may hear any day now!
