We received word that María José's birthmother met with a social worker in a Guatemalan family court. The SW will write her report assuring the judge that the mother desires to legally relinquish her daughter. On our pick up trip, we will receive this report. Jonathan's was several pages long and gave some social history about his birthfamilies circumstance that led to the decision to place him. If you can imagine, it was a heart-wrenching story. It is after the fact, but I pray that the Lord blesses this woman and gives her a peace about her decision.
