Mom's birthday

Today is Mom's birthday. This is the 11th anniversary of her death from pneumonia. I have fabulous memories of my mom. She was loving, strong, and fun. Today is a harder day for me b/c there are a jillion unknowns. For over a year, I felt like we would have an October girl, except all but a few agencies have closed their Guatemala programs. Aaron has called every agency with a Latin country program (El Salvador, Hondurus, Mexico) and all the local agencies for a domestic adoption. Nothing seems to "fit." So for now we are waiting to see if the Guatemalan congress changes it's mind about closing adoptions after Dec. 31st. Oh, for 20/20 vision!
