Back in PGN and new email

Heard tonight that we are back in PGN. That is encouraging news. What is NOT encouraging news is that the Guat newspaper has announced a one month halt of adoptions. The sign shows they are not allowing even the approved cases to be released. We are reading conflicting information and praying it is not true! We need the 2,000 cases ahead of us at PGN to giddy-up. **May 15 updates. This is NOT true! We are NOT in PGN and haven't been since April 24. This is the 2nd time we've been told one thing and found out it is not true. grrrr Our baby has grown a month older and her file has sat on our lawyer's desk. (Not to sound too bitter, waiting on the PGN that we cannot control would feel better than having no movement on the desk of someone charging us more than the value of our cars.) They need to prove the b-mom understood the forms she was placing her thumb print signature on since they were in Spanish and she speaks one of the other 22 languages. I'm guessing they need the signature of the original translator??? Our agency says that this is not a typical request in this situation, but PGN is fond of making far-flung requests when they cannot find a real error. Lord help us!!!!

Last week I emailed the foster mom to let her know we will come and visit Jackie at 7 months...the same month we were able to bring Jonathan home for good. I asked if there was anything we could bring with us, what sizes she wears, and what big foster sister Isabel likes. Here is her response...

I am really excited to know that I am finally going to meet you although I feel that I already know you because of the relationship that we have enjoyed until now. I really like that you are coming when you are because as I told you Jackie is changing her character and cries when someone holds her that she doesn’t know, it is good that she will start to have contact with her family. I take her to church and she stays in the church nursery while I am in the services. The sisters in Christ love her very much and tell me, “Sister Jacky, you should keep the baby” since they have fallen so much in love with her. The ministry where I go to church is called “Ebenezer Church of Christ”, a wonderful apostolic church. I serve in the dance department in case you may be able to see it on the internet after seven o’clock at night here in Guatemala. I am privileged to serve on this day.

Regarding Jackie’s size, she is using 9 to 12 months right now since she is so big. I am not sure what her shoe size is because the size varies greatly, some shoes she has are size two and others don’t have any size at all.

I would like it if you could bring me a stroller for greater comfort because she weighs a lot now, also all of the toys that you can bring. If you could also bring her or buy her compote food (Gerber), she really likes that a lot but they don’t give me money to buy that for her.

Regarding Isabel, she really likes High School Musical and every related to Disney princesses.

Well friends, I don’t want to tire you out, you are a blessing to me. I hope to see you soon. GOD BLESS YOU!
